Hi Guys! I'd just like to lay out my thoughts on selling/trading pieces in my collection.

First off, I'm not a merchant! My goal here on DA is not to make money reselling taxidermy items, it's to meet new friends, make new connections, and expand my own collection and interest in natural history.

Unless specially labelled as for sale in the title, I won't be accepting purchase or trade offers for items under $50. I'm not looking to liquidate my smaller pieces nor spend a lot of time figuring out how to safely ship items. I believe that at this point in my collecting career it is safe to say that I own or could very easily obtain the vast majority of items under $50 which is why I won't be accepting trades for less than than amount. (If you think you have something that I don't however I'm very happy to take a look.)

For items more than that amount I will consider trades, however I expect to decline the majority of them to avoid dealing with shipping packages (which I've always hated).

I am however very interested to see whatever it is that you may have for sale or trade! I have no qualms over purchasing items so if you think you may have or know of something that would catch my eye please let me know! I may also give such individuals a finders fee if I do end up purchasing that item!

Thanks for looking!

Best,

Oy I hear you!  That or some people will try to trade something very cheap like a fox tail for something very expensive like my hyena skull.  It drives me all sorts of crazy.  I don;t mind trading some of my expensive items for similar value (I had a mountable dingo I traded for a serval for example)... but I digress... the reason I generally only accept trades rather than sell stuff is so my collection will not decline.  I will make a few exceptions with duplicates (I have a mnt lion skull I may sell) but for the most part I am here for the same reason.  It is nice to make acquaintances with similar interests and watch other collections grow!
